Nidhogg is a creature from Norse mythology who chews on the tree Yggdrasill. Then, it will close the rift and spit the debris out in a red ringed attack you’ll need to evade. Nidhogg will occasionally open a rift to its stomach, sucking in all kind of debris around it. ![]() Once you’ve put the runes in place and frosted them with your axe, Nighogg will move back down to the ground so you can resume the fight in earnest. Should the battle go on for 11 minutes, Nidhogg will spend 10 seconds to cast a Deafening Bellow that will wipe the entire raid. Here, you’ll want to use Freya’s runic arrows again, but this time she tells you to use your Leviathan Axe for frost damage. Nidhogg will utilize many different abilities across a total of 6 phases, some of which are dealt in his standard Dragon Form, while others are exclusive to his Human Form later in the battle. It is a versatile creature that can be interpreted in many ways. Nidhogg will eventually retreat to the left tree in an attempt to get away from you. ![]()
